IRBV researchers have received 25,000 visitors!

Since June 2012, more than 25,000 visitors have viewed the exhibit 1000 days for the planet/Base camp in the André-Bouchard Exhibition Hall of the Université de Montréal Biodiversity Centre. By watching videos presented in the Researcher Space, visitors can learn about the work of researchers, including four from the IRBV – Alain Cogliastro, Alain Cuerrier, Jacques Brisson and Mohamed Hijri. Each original short film showcases the career path and passion of a researcher, as well as his efforts to preserve biodiversity. Inaugurated on June 22, the exhibit 1000 days for the planet continues until 2015. This is a unique occasion to follow the journey of Jean Lemire and the crew of the sailboat Sedna IV, as they travel around the Earth on a mission to educate the public about the planet’s biodiversity. Over the next two years, the exhibit will present the work of other IRBV researchers.
