Chronobiologie et biologie moléculaire

Notre laboratoire travaille avec le dinoflagellé Gonyaulax polyedra, un protiste unicellulaire marin. Une horloge biologique circadienne chez Gonyaulax lui permet de se spécialiser pour la photosynthèse pendant le jour et la bioluminescence pendant la nuit. Nous cherchons à expliquer les bases moléculaires de ces rythmes circadiens au niveau de la biochimie et de la régulation de l’expression génique. Nous sommes également intéressé à comprendre la contrôle circadien du cycle cellulaire chez cette espèce.
