My research focuses on the health, ecology, and conservation of pollinators in agricultural and urban environments, with a particular emphasis on managed crop pollinators such as the alfalfa-cutter bee (Megachile rotundata). I investigate how habitat quality, landscape configuration, and agricultural practices influence the structure of bee communities, their functional traits, and pollination services, while also developing methods for bee identification and biodiversity monitoring. In applied entomology, my work also aims to develop alternatives to conventional pesticides for pest control of managed pollinators, as well as practical tools to support pollinator conservation and sustainable agricultural production.
