Congratulations to Marie-Pierre Bastien-Thibault who was awarded, for the second year in a row, one of Hydro-Québec’s excellence grants for her M.Sc. work at Polytechnique Montréal, for her research project titled Le potentiel d’hyperaccumulation de sélénium chez le genre Salix. With her supervisor Yves Comeau (Polytechnique Montréal) and co-supervisor Michel Labrecque (IRBV), she is conducting since June 2022 an experiment in a Botanical Garden greenhouse and collecting data on a phytoremediation test bench located in Eastern Montreal.
